User Profiling without the post-its, spreadsheets or email chains

Desk Profiler is a web-based tool, enabling market data administrators / analysts to easily store and evaluate user and desk profiles. By effectively profiling users, Desk Profiler can help financial institutions contain costs and gain greater control by challenging MDS requests and reducing MDS dependencies.

With Desk Profiler, effectively managing your market data starts with knowing your user- base.

Profiles consist of:

• Data and functionality requirements of each user/ desk
• Market data services accessed by each / desk
• User dependencies that may prevent straight forward product substitution (spreadsheets, applications, trading features, etc.).

Within the tool, user and desk level dependencies may also be stored. For example, a user may work very little within a desktop product but may export extensive amounts of data into spreadsheets, or create models or applications containing the data.

For users with both Desk Profiler and Profiler, the power of both products can be leveraged by taking a user or desk profile and matching it to appropriate MDS in the market.
